# Files an agent reads

> SKILL.md, llms.txt, llms-full.txt, the docs manifest, the .md twin of every page, and a template's brief — what each is and where it lives.

Kind: reference · ~2 min · Verified v0.66.1 · Next: [Error codes](https://pr-764-stg.superartifacts.app/docs/reference/errors.md)

Every file is public, needs no key and is served as text by the plane you fetch it from.

| File | What it is |
| --- | --- |
| `/skill/SKILL.md` | The skill an agent installs and keeps: the HTTP contract, limits, error codes and the `/whoami` check. |
| `/llms.txt` | An index of the site and the docs, each page linked to its markdown twin. |
| `/llms-full.txt` | Every page's markdown in one file. |
| `/docs/manifest.json` | Every docs page as JSON: section, kind, minutes, verified release, twin. |
| `/docs/{page}.md` | A page's markdown twin. Prompts print in a `prompt` fence. |
| `/api/templates/{slug}/brief` | A marketplace template's build brief, as markdown. |

## SKILL.md

One document at `https://superartifacts.app/skill/SKILL.md`, `text/markdown`, cached for five minutes, opening with `name` and
`description` frontmatter. It carries no secret, so it is safe to keep in a repository or sync. It is **per plane**: it names the
plane that served it, that plane's API and its key prefix. An agent with an MCP client
should [connect MCP](https://pr-764-stg.superartifacts.app/docs/reference/mcp.md) instead. Re-fetch only when a call returns a field
or a 4xx it does not recognise.

## Asking for markdown

Any docs page answers in markdown to an agent that asks for it:

```http
GET /docs/reference/limits
Accept: text/markdown
```

Only an explicit `text/markdown` gets markdown; a browser gets the page. Each page also
names its markdown copy in a `rel="alternate"` link.

## A template's brief

The marketplace's **Build with this** button copies one line that points at
`/api/templates/{slug}/brief`. A public template's brief is cached for a minute. Any other
slug answers one stub that sends the agent to `super_templates`; a workspace member's key in
`Authorization: Bearer` reads its own shelf's brief.
